Puerto Rican SOFRITO sauce


1 Large yellow onion
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
2 T minced garlic
1 bunch cilantro
1/4 cup spanish olives, pitted
1 T capers
2 t salt
1 T black pepper
1 T crushed oregano
1/2 C olive oil
(optional)
12 ajies dulces peppers
6 leaves of recao


Blend all in blender
Freeze into ice cube trays

use 2-3 cubes for soup or stew for the family
Can also put in taco meat, rice, any meat, enchiladas, chili, pulled pork, empanadas, arroz con pollo, omelet, meatballs.

*This sauce freeze dries really well!!!!
